Subject:Turning off cx3 preamp + speakeasy

Dear folks,

I know I could dig through the archives, but please remind me: are people
who use the CX3 with a speakeasy setting the CX3 preamp to the straight-organ
(bypass) mode?

I'm still unable to get anything other than a thin tone with my CX3, BUT I'M
POSITIVE YOU ALL ARE GETTING DECENT TONE.

Also, anyone want to give me their Speakeasy knob settings again?

I cannot believe that in the hours I have spent I cannot get a fatter tone
out of the CX3. It's embarrassing how long I've spent on this! In general, can
someone talk to me as if I were a moron (which I probably am) and help me
tweak this damn CX3 to get it to sound reasonably fat and clear when at loud
settings through a faithful monitor (e.g., Mackie, JBL, etc.)?
