Subject:VK8m - leslie sim bypass?

Hello again - I have been noticing that there has been some discusion
regarding the Roland VK8m module on this list in the past couple of days. I brought
this question up on the list several months ago but I didn't get an answer. Is
the VK8m capable of bypassing its leslie sim? When I demoed it last summer I
could only get it to "brake", but not bypass the sim. On Roland clones
"brake" setting, typically the chorus vibrato sound seems "phasey" and the
percussion volume is not even - particularly through a leslie.

I have said it many, many times before....I
love what Roland did with the chorus vibrato sound on the VK8 - minus the leslie
sim of course. I couldn't get the VK8m to sound anything like that when I
tried it. To me the VK8 sounds like a good jazz Hammond. I loved it with "slow"
percussion setting. I actually still have my VK7, and I have many times wanted
to switch to the VK8 for that chorus/vib thing it has.
