I run my keyboards into a small mixer first. Main
output gous to my amps, aux goes to the board. This
lets me adjust the gain for each board individually so
that the soundman can have whatever level he likes & I
get the level I want. You can get a fairly good mixer
for $100 or less for a small 10-12 channel model.
