Subject:RE: VK-8M vs V-5, Rotosphere Setup

I use a Rotosphere-ver.1 with a V5, yes there is some
noise. But you can reduce it substantailly by setting
the rotor balance knob to around 11 oclock, also, set
the Rotosphere volume knob to 11 or 12 oclock. To help
even furthere I put a noise reduction pedal (Decimator
Pedal) after the Rotosphere. Additionally, I include a
BOSS digital delay pedal after the Rotosphere and set
it up for a reverb type of delay. I have messed with
swapping tubes in and out of the unit but there does
not seem to be a noticeable difference. Although you
may want to try a 12AU7, many Rotosphere users claim
it gives a bit more warmth. I have also messed with
running it thru the effects loop of my amplification
and found that there is no difference in the noise
level. I have used Leslie's and have owned Hammonds
and I am sticking with the setup I have, it is very
portable and my band members are constantly
acknowleding the great Hammond simulated sound. Good
