The Rotosphere is a great unit, I use one with my V5's the only big drawback
is that the tube "hisses" more than most other tube units. Especially for
practicing, this is a really big annoyance. I have not found a way to get
rid of the hiss without distorting sound quality. Any ideas? I wonder if
the version II is just as bad?

The H&K Rotosphere also adds a tube preamp effect as well as a Leslie
effect,
so saves you on having to buy a tube preamp also. I like the V5 + H&K
combination. (I have the earlier H&K model; I haven't heard the II.)
