Another wierd thing about volumes.

One of my Hammonds is a 70's model X2. Single manual tone generator, 9 drawbars, 2 vibrato, 4 percussions (yes four!). Sounds very cheesy at home but I like cheesy but.... if I put it into a Marshall amp and 4X4 and crank the volume it can knock any clone I've ever heard, it has a realy full sound, cuts through the band, its clear and clean or dirty and raunchy, whatever you need. I still use it a lot for big gigs. The band have 4-5 festivals we play during the year and this old X2 just makes the crowd scream (with delight!), the same can not be said of any clone I've had.
