Subject:Re: P80....760?

I still have my p80. I'm a big fan of it, the p90 sounds a little
different but i really can't hear that it's much different. i was
hoping it would sound like a p250, but it just doesn't. (the p250's
onboard speakers drive me f'ing insane, get those things out of
there and make the thing lighter, i'd buy it in a heart beat)
whatever the playback engine is in the p250 makes the difference,
that's what I want in a lightweight package. Maybe audiophiles can
hear a big improvement from p80 to p90 but i don't, they're just a
little different and I guess i prefer the p80 because it's familiar.

anyway, the p80 is suiting me just fine especially since i got the
motion sound kp200s which i love. I think the p80 is a bargain now

only thing i would trade it for at this point is a lighter p250 or a
76 fully weighted keyboard i could fit in my trunk (not that mushy
kurzweil stuff, i want a solid action)

Had to get a laptop for grad school and I'm thinking using it for
gigs (b4) to compare electro and b4 in gig situations. would need
to get some kind of switch box of some sort to turn off the ep
sounds when I want to use the B4 and vice versa. anyone have any
ideas? after a couple beers, I can't mess around with the midi
stuff during a gig to turn the electro sounds on and off
