Subject:Re: Organ feature tunes in bar-band

Wow...this has been a FUN thread to follow!
So much good material out there!
Lot's of great B-3 stuff in the 70's.
Then came the 80's and we all had multi-tier stacks of synths and left the B-3's at home.
Still a FUN decade musically speaking.
Speaking of 80's anyone know what synth/patch was used on David Bowie's "Let's Dance"?
But don't let me change direction of this thread. There's still some classic rock tunes to be mentioned that will make heavy use of your B-3 clone. Here's one I bet you haven't thought of for a while...
Humble Pie - "Hot n Nasty"
A huge B-3 song!
But who could ever sing like Steve Marriott?

Regards,
Jake

I Shot The Sheriff - Clapton..You did say
"classicrock"

Whiter Shade of Pale (you know, drunks love to slow
dance too!)

Smoke On The Water (dont laugh...this is very fun to
play and if done WELL, the crowd goes nuts)

Give It To Me (J Geils...reaching back, but not QUITE
as obscure as you'd think: just make sure the crowd is
over 4O!)

Empty Pages (Traffic)

My Woman From Tokyo (Ok, so I like Deep Purple)

These are just great songs that go over huge in a
bar/club, and may or may not tax your chops (in all
honesty, they shouldn't at all). But the organ is
INTEGRAL to these songs, and the crowd will really dig
them.
