Subject:Re: VK7 for Mackie .....now VK8 vs.Electro
I agree ..... I've tried it all and the Electro is the closest thing to me.
And you can tone down the percussion. I set the click level on 6 (0-9) and run
it through a Speakeasy Howler into my 147 and it is the closest I could hope
for. I've actually sat it beside My B3 w/122 and was able to dial it in almost
identical.
Only exception is (I'm guesstimating) a tone range from 400-800hz that is a
little low .... But! .... that is awesome live because your not fighting the
bass and guitar for that space.
In addition you get a great Rhodes, Clav, and Wurli with it. I pan those out
to the right channel and the B3 sound to the left and control the key sounds
from my Yamaha P80 which I also use for piano. Hope that helps.
