Hey GG...

Those things appealed to me initially as well. (Funny
you mentioned the Emerson thing...I spent hours coming
up with what I thought was a brilliant Emerson tone!)
But live...it sits a LOT differently in the mix than
it does at home in your headphones, as does all gear.
An hour in the store is different than a few days at
home programming and a couple hours on stage
evaluating. For me (being a roaddog) that is the
litmus test; if you're using it to record, obviously
the "tape's" perspective is what counts, and how it
sits in the mix. You need to get it out of an
unaccompanied environment to really test an
instrument's mettle.

I'm still trying to like it though.
