Subject:Re: Dedicated Clone vs. PC/B4
I use a Peavey PC1600x midi command station to controller the
drawbar settings, and any other B4 setting i choose. It has 16
sliders, 16 buttons, 2 cv pedal inputs and large data wheel, all
completely programable. The PC1600x has a great natural feel much
like real drawbars. The buttons are great for toggling B4 switches
and calling up favorite programs. I use the data wheel for browsing
the programs in B4.
I also use the PC1600x to control my other software, like FM7,
Lounge Lizard and basically any tweakable option in any hardware or
software.
B4 runs rock solid and sounds great on my:
Pentium III 1Ghz
512mb pc133 ram
SB Live using the KXProject drivers (5.33ms latency)
Windows 2000
Peavey PC1600x
MidiMan 2x2 USB
Korg M1
Yamaha PSR255GM is a cheap home type keyboard I picked up for $100
