The comments below DO NOT APPLY to musical instruments such as guitars,
basses, violins, etc., when the interior of the van or trailer can get
really hot. Heat will literally melt the glues and lacquers used in the
construction of these things, and the string tension will pull them apart.
I've seen it happen, and it's not pretty. Please don't leave your
guitars where this can happen! The interior of a car can reach 160
degrees when it's left in the sun, even when it's not hot outside. This
is plenty hot enough to melt the glue that holds them together.
I'd apply this caution to Hammonds and Leslies as well, because of the
wood cabinets.
