Subject:Re: Clones in garages, band trailers, freezing weather
General consensus is that most all electronics/band equipment will
store safely in a trailer/van/truck or building through both
blistering hot and freezing cold temperatures. I've read plenty of
examples where this has been done for years with no problems. Things
to watch out for;
1)Leaks. It must be dry.
2)Condensation and rapid/extreme temperature changes. Try and let
things acclimate before turning on.
3) If in a car/van in the heat, keep it out of direct sunlight.
4) I've heard that condensor mics don't store well in heat over long
periods. I forget why. Something melts inside the capsule.
5)I personnaly try not to let guitars be included in the "outdoor"
storage, but have done so on occasion with no problems.
