Subject:Intro chords inquiry - footstompin music

Hi,

Something's been bugging me lately. For years I've been playing
Footstompin Music by Grand Funk (who else?), but the intro organ
chords I've been playing don't sound quite right to me compared with
what I'm hearing on the album.

I've always played this with a 3rd alternation(??) (C.G.Bb to a 2nd
inv. IV chord back to a root C in 1st inversion) and repeats until
the run up to the chorus.

Anybody have any ideas what I'm voicing wrong? I've got the rest of
the song but the intro chords don't seem right - that high Bb on the
first chord doesn't sound exactly like the voicing on the album but
sounds like something missing without it.
