Oh! now it gets dirty!
I've tried assorted drum 'thrones' and some of them are very comfortable indeed, firm leather but padded in a most seductive manner with serious stitching in eye catching rugged, natural twine.

But - in the end (non pun intended) I use a QuikLok bench seat as I'm a little broad in the nether regions and prefer not to look as if I'm just sitting on the seat instead of trying to hatch it!!

Dear folks,

Okay, now that we are getting into the nitty gritty of gigging, here's an
organ question:

Is there a RELIABLE and comfortable and portable organ throne? (Make and
model numbers would be great.) I've got two, the best I could find, and both have
issues. What I use is a hard platform type, but it is reliable. On the
other hand, getting one's ass forcibly molded to the shape of an aircraft carrier
deck tilted at 30 degrees prevents me from cutting a hip profile with the
fairer sex.

But my other, padded throne--my official organist's throne--spews grease and
threatens to crush your fingers in a hundred different ways when you try to
pack it up.
