Subject:Re: Nord Electro vs Kurzweil PC2x

Fatar has a new very light weight 88key controller. Don't know about road worthiness.
I bet you're bringing a laptop anyway. I'd get software Rhodes (www.scarbee.com is my fav) if I already had a software sampler, and a software piano. (probably get b4 also)
I'd bring electro as organ and backup security.

There are simple midi to USB cords. Echo Indigo pcmcia card for superb stereo sound output.

That's three pieces, but the computer stays in your arms at all times and carryon.

On the other hand, as much as I can't stand to PLAY the Electro acoustic piano, when I've heard excellent players play mine and I'm in the audience hearing a live mix, it sounds very good as a rock ensemble piano.

When somebody finally comes out with a 61note piano action controller for frequent flyers, it will sell plenty even if people only use it for air tours.
