Subject:RE: Gigs everywhere

Sorry Doug, I didn't mean to imply you CANT have fun
doing these gigs. I've done a lot of weddings and
enjoyed them a lot. But a lot of them aren't fun, at
least compared to shows where the crowd actually comes
to hear you play. And I guess the fact that that
particular band's schedule was so tight that it would
prevent me from doing anything ELSE musically may have
colored my view. Most of the good wedding/corporate
bands around here anyway are booked solid for 2/3
years in advance. That's why they make good money. I
guess doing club gigs during the week wouldn't be so
bad if people actually CAME to the clubs during the
week. We do Ok on a Thursday in towns where we have
built things up, but weekends are always better.
