Subject:Re: Gigs everywhere

Dear list,

Compared to you folks, I guess I'm in the trenches: 9 pm to 2 am is the usual
gig length, usually 2-3 days in a row at one place on the weekends, gigs
every weekend with the sometimes weekend off. Plus demanding day job. Married
too.

But on the other hand, in the years I decided NOT to gig (on the theory I was
getting too old), the not gigging did weird things to my sense of self. I
discovered I need to gig (is it time for a shrink?).

So I guess I'll be a gigging fool till I'm as old as Angie Dickinson's first
face lift--even if it means accepting grueling gigs.

What I have done, however, is MINIMIZE THE WEIGHT AND SIZE of my rig. So my
gigging foolishness is only at grossly insane levels, instead of global
meltdown insane levels as it was in times past.

So friends, when you find yourself in a grueling trench at 2 am, just tip
your head to the side and you'll see me saying hi!

P. S. The CX3 plus BT Productions' flight case has survived my routine. I
give these products good reliability grades.
