Hi Paul,
You're spot on - get the Ultimate Keys card, you wont regret it! As to pianos - as I play quite lightly (organ background not pianist) I have changed the velocity response to 'light'. This together with type 2 mike modelling has given the piano's a lot more omph, don't be afraid to use the onboard EQ, I have the treble at 2 o'clock, the middle at 2 o'clock with the frequency also at 2 o clock and just 1 o'clock for the bass. I take the balanced stereo outputs into the bands PA with everything flat, just volume. This cuts through just great for the kind of music I play (jazz/funk/R&B).

Hi folks,

I also bought a VR-760 a couple of weeks ago. I have mixed feelings
about it. I love the organ section. It is fat and full and inspires me
to play. The pianos are a bit dark and don't cut through the band that
well . The synth section is OK but you have to get the ultimate keys card
because the vr only has 18 sounds!! I love the look and feel of the vr ,
but it's weak midi section makes it hard to use as a midi controller. I
could go on and on , but It depends on the gig if the vr can cut or not.
