Subject:Re: Connecting a VK-7 to a Leslie 147?
Hi Michael.
Does the VK7 have an 11-pin "rotary speaker" connector (as the VK8 does) or
does it have a 5/6 pin connector?
If it has the 11-pin, you would need a Leslie 1147 kit. This is a box/preamp
with two Leslie and one AC cable. There is a short cable between the box and
the Leslie (6-pin) and a longer cable to the 11-pin connector that plugs
into the organ.
The 1147 kit sells for around $215 new. I found one a week ago on ebay for
$100 that I'm using to connect a VK8 to a 145 (same amp as the 147).
If the VK7 has a 5 or 6 pin 122 connector you might want to check the Leslie
FAQ to see if there is a connector listed there...
