Subject:RE: Connecting a VK-7 to a Leslie 147?
The most reasonable and easy way is to buy the Hammond Suzuki kit called the
1147 (for 147 amp) or 1122 (for 122 amp). It has an 11 pin input and 6 pin
output. They are about $150-200. The cool thing about them is that the
VK's fast slow switch will control the Leslie speed.
If you crave awesome tone and can spend a few more bucks, then buy a
Speakeasy Preamp. www.speakeasyvintagemusic.com
They can build you whatever you need to drive a Leslie from a 1/4" input.

Subject: [CWSG] Connecting a VK-7 to a Leslie 147?
Hello listfolk,
I'm brand new here. I have a Roland VK-7 and a Leslie 145. I also have a
Trek-II preamp. However, I would prefer to connect to VK-7 directly to
the 145
amp, and forgo the use of the Trek-II. Why? Because then I could use the
rotary fast/slow switches on the VK-7 to control the Leslie. More
importantly, I
could use MIDI to control the Leslie.
Does anyone know how to connect the VK's Leslie 122 output to the 145's
six-pin connector? I'm good with electronics, so don't be shy with the
nut 'n
bolts stuff.
Best regards,
