Subject:Re: V5 with what controller????

I used a Roland A-30, one midi out, 76 keys, to play the V5 as a
single manual. I got an A-33, two midi outs, to play V5 and a piano
midi module with the other controller as a lower V5 manual. Both V5
and piano modules velcro'd to the controllers on top of either end
with only a bit of overhang, not a problem. I think Roland stopped
making the A-33 around 2001, new were $799 - standard Roland semi-
weighted key action, one assignable data entry slider, still pretty
easy to find used. A-30 and A-33 have been on eBay the last couple
of times I looked in the $200 range; saw one at GC in new condition,
a trade-in for $150. These are built like a tank, still play mine as
2nd/3rd keyboard with Korg and Electro.
