Hi jake. One thing I found with the rotosphere is that is sounds quite good by itself, and the rotary effect it good (only in mono) but I found it takes a lot of presence out of the sound in a mix and squashes the sound a lot. I'd definitely try it out at a gig before deciding. I only use mine when absolutely necessary.

Subject: [CWSG] Tried out a Rotosphere tonight...
Hey y'all ~
Tried out a Tube Rotosphere tonight for the 1st time.
Jeff, the guitarist brought one for me to try. He has
two. One which he uses too much IMHO, and this one in
good condition with power supply and foot controller
that he wants to sell for $200. I'm thinking maybe I
should buy it just cuz the price is right. The
Rotosphere was a definite improvement but I'm looking
for a new rig and some of the on-board sims are better
than the Rotosphere, again IMHO. Anyway, just thought
I'd post here and say I was much more impressed by
this machine than when I listened to the sample mp3's
online. It's a good unit. The overdrive didn't seem
very effective tho.
Regards,
Jake
