I'll jump in to answer this one. The V5 won't extend the range. A real Hammond has only 5 octaves on the consoles so Dave Amels designed the V5 to copy this. The unit doesn't recognize MIDI key note numbers that are past that range. I actually prefer that it doesn't do this so if I accidently hit a note on my 76 note keyboard that is beyond that range I don't have to worry about it sounding. When you look at the V3 & 5 you'll find Dave did his homework extremely well on these instruments. If it ain't on the Hammond it ain't on the Voce.
Of course this is cranky-traditionalist-old-guy talking here. Other people may prefer that it had these extra features, and that's ok as well.
