Hi. To open it up you need to undo every screw underneath. the Power supply problem is most likely an earthing problem with the power supply circuit board. I always (temporarily) fixed the problem by tightening the screws holding the PS board in place.

So I picked up a great deal on a classic VK7. It's about the only clone
I've never owned.

I have 2 initial questions that I'm hoping someone here can answer:

1) Is there a way to "lock" the Manual button, so the physical drawbar
settings are always active, even when changing presets?
2) Can someone advise on how to open it up. I think mine has a problem with
the power supply and I wanted to take a peek.
