Nice to hear that I'm not the only keyboard player who won't play
synthbrass anymore! In fact it's not possible with my current rig,
which comprises a CX3 and a Yamaha P200. I've always thought that the
bottom drops out of a song when I left the piano/organ to play horns.

Unfortunately there are still a couple of band leaders here in Sydney
that are living in the 80's. I've lost gigs due to my 'defiance' but
I'm a much happier soul as a result !!

I get critical of duo's who take work away from drummers when they
use a drum machine, so I feel I shouldn't take work away from horn
players either. In the end the music and the audience get cheated.
