Subject:relacement bx-3 (old) keys?
hey all,
you may recall i picked up a beat up bx-3 some months ago, i'm
getting around to fixing it up. i've removed the black paint and
will be sanding it down this weekend, in preparation for the pink
linoleum treatment i'll be giving it next week :)
someone mentioned they have sets of keys that will fit this model,
i'll need two sets as both have been painted, and the lower manual
has some broken keys. does anyone have a lead on where i might get
two sets of keys for the old bx-3?
now, the meat: the chorus / vibrato switch on the upper manual
doesn't do anything, i did buy a copy of the schematics, but my
limited electrical experience didn't lead to any conclusions as to
what the problem might be or how i might fix it. I suppose I could
root around in there and make sure that all the wires are connected
to the switch, might it also involve a bad chip somewhere?
this keyboard ROARS through my leslie 145. it's definately got more
grind than the current cx-3, which i also own for gigs n such. but
if i had to use just the old bx-3, i would (fixed up), and would love
it. i highly suggest picking up one of these babies if you ever find
one available. i'll never let this one go...
that's it!
