Subject:FC-7 Expression Pedal needs repair...
A Cat Tale -
Last week I noticed my FC-7 was feeling a little floppy, so I tightened it up a bit while I was getting ready to go play tonight. I had left the pedal on the dining room table with the cord dangling to the floor while I finished getting ready to go. This proved to be an irresistible plaything for my cat who chewed up a portion of the cord while I was in the shower. When I discovered the damage it was too late to do anything about it, so I launched the cat off the roof and scurried off to play the gig hoping against hope that my expression pedal would still work. But alas, the pedal was of no use and I had to do a lot of left-hand volume adjusting throughout the night. I never realized how badly I would miss the FC-7 until I had to play without it. I will definitely be packing a spare from now on. Meanwhile, has anyone here any experience with replacing the cord on the FC-7 pedal? Can it be easily done? I think I soldered something once when I was 12 or 14. So a technician I am not.
Thanks,
Jake
PS: Just kidding about launching the cat. Baxter is curled up at my feet as I type this. All is forgiven.
