Subject:Re: KBR-M Motion Sound or Pro 145

Dear Bob, Doug, Jake, Bill, and RG,

Thanks for your opinions on the Pro 145, Pro 3T, KBRM, and KBR3D.
Obviously, the cost of the 145 makes me think about the smaller units.

I've heard of people on this list selling their Motionsound stuff because
they were so happy with their sims on the CX3 or Electro or Rotosphere. But is
it clear that the Motionsound stuff is superior to an electronic sim? (my
backbone is asking this question . . .).

RG, I read a magazine review of the 145 by someone who had been using the
Motionsound stack--3T-LoPro combo--and he felt that the 145 was significantly
better than the stack. Of course that is just one opinion, but, RG, I was
curious why you were preferring the stack as you make the switch from sim to
rotating speaker.

Also, I was surprised at how small the dimensions were for the 145. Is it
strangely loud for its size, like a Fender twin? I wonder this because I'd hate
to have to lug it as well as an amp for it! (I also get put through
medium-club PAs, but too many stubborn sound guys don't like to turn up the keys).

Again, thanks for the thread.
