In reviewing the Electro's manual, I saw that the drawbutton cc#s
would match-up with pretty well with what the EVB3 (Windows) requires.
Maybe the B4 requires different numbers, but I would have thought
that the Electro would match up with the B4 as well. Check to see if
the B4's receiving drawbar cc#s do or do not match the Electro's
transmitting drawbutton #s. Because you can't change the Electro's
transmitting #s, you might have to use one of the software solutions.
Bruce could help you there. I do recall that when I tried the B4
demo, my CX3's drawbars did not control the B4's, but the B4 demo was
stripped down from the full version.

Processor power could conceivably be a hurdle to me running two
instruments at the same time. But my immediate problem it that it is
logistically impossible if you are running Logic, which unfortunately,
the EVB3 requires. I can at least switch instruments at the touch of
a finger. One cool thing in Logic is that you can cross plug-in
effects, such as the Leslie sim or wah wah. Yes, it is cool to run
Lounge Lizard Rhodes through the Leslie, and also use the Leslie's
overdrive!

Why Lounge Lizard for epianos? I just like the Lounge Lizards
flexibility, controllability, and generally warmer, grittier tone
compared to Emagic's EVP88, but I do like the EVP88 as well. I prefer
it to the Electro's pianos as well, and I don't have to nail the keys
down so hard to get it to bark. I demo'd the EVD6, and it seemed to
nail down the Clav better than anything I've heard, including the
Electro, though I've never played a D6 or heard one in a personal
environment. I just haven't yet bothered to get one, but I will.
With respect to the organ, I like the Electro over the Korg in many
respects, including less shrill in the upper octaves, far better
overdrive, and c/v, and at least more vivid Leslie sim. The Korg, on
the other hand, had to me a nicer Leslie sim overall, churchier tone,
far more flexibility over the pretty much fixed Electro, reverb, and
of course an much nicer control layout. But in the end, the tone of
either is sort of splitting hairs between a Camry or Accord, when the
EVB3 is like a Bimmer or Jag! The bottom line for me has been that
the tones provided by the EVB3/Lounge Lizard/EVD6 surpass anything in
the Electro (or CX3), good as the Electro is. This is all obviously
my opinion etc., etc. Now, if I can just combine tones! The Electro
would definitely give me more options, while retaining good quality
sound. Then again, the CX3 works well as a controller, and you have
to be careful about fixing what ain't broke!
