Subject:Re: Roland A-70 controller...ALTERNATIVE

Some food for thought. If you want a cheap 76 key midi
controller try to pick up a Roland EP-70 elec piano.
They are discontinued but somtimes are available on
Ebay. Depending on the condition, I have seen them for
as low as $100.00. It has an excellent semi-weighted
waterfall keyboard action (same as the A-70). I use
one to contol a VOCE V5. I also use the electric piano
in the EP-70, it is excellent, very full sounding and
if you eq it you can refine the sound to your taste.
One thing, be ready to take the keyboard apart and
clean the key contact surfaces, especially if the
keyboard was in a dusty environment and not kept
clean. Doing this is a bit difficult but well worth it
to keep the keyboard functioning properly. It also,
has internal speakers but you can disconnect them.
