Subject:No OSX support from Clavia- Let em have it--nicely

Hey all,
For those of you who are Mac users there are a few problems I would like to discuss.
I recently sent an email to Clavia support asking when they would have an OSX
version of the Electro Tool. Their response was -

I'm glad you like your Electro Rack!
For the moment we don't have an OS X version of the Electro Tool in the
pipeline.

Hello,
Recently I sent an inquiry to your support department that asked if you would be
putting out a Mac OSX version of the Electro Tool. Fredrik promptly replied that there
were no plans on it happening anytime soon. I have since been confronted with the
fact that, fundamentally, Apple no longer makes machines that are capable of booting
into OS9 (the hardware is incompatible with the OS). That being the case, I would like
to request that you please reconsider plans on creating an OSX Electro Tool with
some urgency. Not only does your current stance create a personal inconvenience,
but will also surely annoy and even anger many present and future Electro owners,
and potentially cost you business. Among the many wonderful aspects of the Electro
is the ability to tailor the composition of sample banks to personal taste. Denying
that facility and that support to a significant segment of potential and current users is
simply bad business, and will certainly influence my decisions regarding any future
purchase of products made by Clavia.

Apparently, they are not planning any support for OSX for the Electro or the
MicroModular, the Modular, or the G2. I would like to encourage you to send Clavia
support@clavia.se an email regarding your disappointment at their decision, and
encourage them to support OSX, as it will only help them in the long run as the Mac is
definitely a preffered platform among creative people (not trying to start any flame
wars here- Apple has about a 5% share of the general market, but among creative
types as a group that percentage is higher, that's all). If enough of us gently awaken
them to our belief not only in OSX, but also in their products, then maybe we'll get
the support we need.
