In Cubase when adding midi tracks it defaults the midi channel to
the number of the midi track, in other words: start with no tracks
and add 5 midi tracks, track 1 will be on channel 1, track 2=channel
2 and so on.

This means that if you assign B4 to track 5 cubase will have that
tracks midi channel as 5, B4 defaults to channels 1-3, just change
the tracks midi channel to 1 (or 2 or 3 for lower and pedals).

Not sure if thats the problem, hope it helps
