Subject:RE: Is there a midi bible?
Thanks, Mike! A search of Amazon.com yielded the following:
1) Midi: The Ins, Outs & Thrus
by Jeff Rona, et al
Paperback: 96 pages
Publisher: Hal Leonard; (December 1988)
2) The Midi Companion
by Jeffrey Rona, et al Paperback: 96 pages - July 1994
3) Midi for Musicians
by Craig Anderton Paperback: 120 pages Publisher: Music Sales Corp; (March 1984)
I found several other books by Rona dealing more with audio, film and video scoring, etc. and over 20 by Anderton! Prolific! Most of his are dealing with home recording with Cakewalk, Sonar, Reason, etc. and guitar and electronic projects. The MIDI books listed above span 10 years from 1984 to 1994, but I suppose the basic information I need was (and still is) the same through the years. 16 channels, use of routers, etc. I expect I can find in all in any one of these. Thanks, again!

Jeff Rona and Craig Anderton have excellent books out about midi. They are
both somewhat older and do not cover all of the ¡Ènewer¡É innovations, such
as all of the new pc based stuff, but for what you are looking for, I think
that they will be great.
