If you're just playing at home, then why not go Hi Fi.
There's stacks of powerful stereo HiFi amps up for grabs, every-one's
gone multi-channel, even multi-channel home cinema amps are
relatively cheap and high quality. Coupled to a stereo amp, get hold
of two Hi Fi floorstanders by the likes of Kef with a really good
flat response and superb bass. I use my Home Cinema set-up ( Yamaha
Home Cinema amp and Kef floorstanders )and the Electro sounds great.
You could even get a dedicated sub-woofer. The Electro sound good in
some of the surround settings too.

Music specialist equipment is much more expensive and as more Hi Fi
is sold to the general public you can benefit from the lower prices
and state of the art technology, and economies of scale at the same
time. BTW I mean real Hi Fi, not the all in one packages with
dazzling lights.
