Avoid the KC500 - had one, very harsh, only good for bass. Got a pair of
Mackie SRM450's and I love 'em. They're less than 60 lbs and very versatile.
Given your circumstances, buy them from a place that will give you 30 days
to try 'em and the worst case is you eat the shipping - but you won't.


If BASS is really important, the NEW JBL Eons are much stronger in the bass
end and about the same price.
