What I was trying to do was use a Viscount DB3's drawbars to control
both the Electro and the Hammond.
I've mapped ( using a Midi Solutions Mapper ( one of Bruce's which I
bought used from a fellow Clonewheeler ) the DB's drawbars to control
the Electro which is nice so I now have real physical drawbars for
the upper Electro draws and I was hoping to re-map, using another
Midi Mapper, a Hammond XM1. I'm not currently using the DB's tone
generator. The XM1 was to be routed thru a Dynacord DLS sim, and the
Electro was to be used with its own built-in sim, and then the two
modules's tones were to be mixed together.

This would have been easy if the Hammond had used separate cc#s for
each drawbar.

The reason for all this is that it was first of all handy to have two
organ generators so that when switching to the Electro's epianos I
still had organ available for comping.
I discovered though that if both a sampled module through a Dynacord
and the Electro's voices were mixed together they complemented each
other and gave a richer depth to the sound and also added room
ambience to the total sound. ( The Electro is great on its own but it
is as if it has been fairly closed mic'd, so the extra module gives
it added
room ambience ) It works well with the E-mu B-3 module and I have
set up 10 presets ( which my keyboard can assign ) with matching
drawbar/ perc/ vib/ settings.
I can move the Electro's drawbars but the E-mu's presets stay as
programmed. I was hoping to do the same trick with an XM1 but have
matching drawbar movements as well.

It's not that it doesn't sound really good as it is set up now, but I
was trying to go the extra mile.
I use the Doepfer Pocket fader on the right-hand side of my
controller keyboard to work the Electro's lower draws. So its pull-
out ( using the Viscount's drawbars ) for the upper manual, and push
in for the lower manual. I don't have a problem using push, you soon
get used to it.

Some people I understand sit at home just watching sports on TV.,
eating doughnuts and drinking beer. How much fun can that be, when
you could be working your way through a maize of wiring or looking up
cc#'s on obscure web-sites.
