Subject:Re: ART Tube Preamps
I got the ART tube preamp recently for my Nord. I like it, it's
definitely adding some warmth and punch to the sound and it's stereo
(so you can even take 1st channel out into 2nd in) and the new one
has what they call "voice shaping", which gives you a lot of
different presets for different instruments.
Especially on the Nord's Rhodes sounds, the ART really makes a
difference.
I really wanted to have a speakeasy (and maybe one day, who
knows.....)but I didn't go for it for the same reasons:
sky high shipping charges to Europe, $99 for 220V version (isn't that
just a different transformer?)....
and then I would have gone for the stereo version.........
unfortunately way out of the ballpark.
I thought for 250 EUR I'd give the ART a try.....
(I also use it for recording, so I think the money is well spent)
