Subject:Re: Successful cx-3 upgrade

Bruce,

The only upgrade problems I've heard of with the Electro seem to be
associated with Windows ME, and anyone could forgive those problems. ME
just plain stinks as an operating system, and Microsoft ought to be ashamed
for ever having released it. I'm glad to see that Korg has sorted out the
upgrade issues for the CX3. It's a great instrument that will benefit from
a breath of fresh air, and Korg should be commended for supporting their
customers this well. I hope it's a trend which continues with all
instrument manufacturers. Say what you will about the Nord stuff, I believe
it has raised the bar in terms of customer support, and it's nice to see
larger companies like Korg following Clavia's lead. Of course, people like
you (Bruce) are invaluable to keep the rest of us informed and to try to
make sense of all of the technical stuff.

Cheers, Ken

Upgrading the Electro is easier, but is it foolproof? There are an awful
lot of USB interfaces to worry about in the computer world. Has anyone
heard of any failed upgrade attempts on the Electro
