No, the electrostatic speakers do exist, but not for
sound reinforcement (at least not that I know of).
The concept is cool, but the end result hasn't
impressed me all that much....yet. They're quite
pricey (the 3way pair went for around $8k) and didn't
sound as thrilling to me as a lot of conventional
designs in that same price category. But...time
marches on.
