Subject:Re: usb/ midi etc...

Eammon,

Is your Electro a version 2.0? If so, you won't need MIDI. You will,
however, need a USB interface. Windows 95 didn't support USB until the very
last versions, so you may want to find a Win98 machine for this. I have a
Win 98 machine with USB on the computer. That connects to - 1 - a USB-MIDI
adaptor ( M-Audio MIDISPORT ) and - 2 - a USB cable which connects directly
to the Electro. The MIDI interface is necessary to upgrade to OS 2.0. Once
you've upgraded, you'll need to load the USB tool onto your computer from
the Clavia website . That's the piece of software which communicates with
the Electro and allows you to load/change sounds. Then, just download the
various sounds available. None of this works until the Electro is upgraded
to OS 2.0. I hope this helps. Please email me privately if you need more
detail.

Cheers, Ken
