One other thing... You are also buying from one of the best companies in
terms of customer service...
Mackie is known for building equipment that can survive any roadie....
And, on the rare occasion that something does goes wrong (either in or
out of warrantee), they seem to forget all the fine print and service it
for free anyway....

Subject: [CWSG] FBT Active speakers-OT
Has anyone here ever heard or used FBT active speakers? I was going to
buy
a pair of Mackie SRM-450's but in every review I have been able to find,
the FBT's are supposed to sound much better. While I have no loyalty to
Mackie, I am also hesitant to purchase a relatively unknown brand. BTW,
what brought all this on is I just today received my Barbetta Sona 41-SE
back from California for repair on a bad pot, only to discover that
another
pot is bad as well. Although I love the Barbetta and think nothing
sounds
better, I must have an amp that is reliable. Should I just buy a pair of
450's as a backup or a pair of the FBT Maxx 4a's? I believe I will keep
the
Barbetta in any case. It just sounds too good...Thanks for any advice.
