Subject:Backup?
I recently had my Tube Rotosphere into the shop to have one of the
little lights replaced, the unit's "effect" was working fine, but you sure
become addicted to those lights!! I also had them put a different switch
for the breaker and now it will stay in the "Brake" position.
This got me wondering... Since I play two Voce V5's into the unit, if
the Rotosphere were to ever go down, I would definitely be in trouble, since
I would have no leslie effect whatsoever. I hesitate to spend a lot of
money on a backup, as it would probably set in the trunk of my car for
years, but obviously when you need it you need it. Any ideas on a cheap
backup? A lot of guitar stompboxes state that they have the "leslie"
effect, which is probably not very good, but I would just need something to
get me through the rest of a gig until I could get the rotosphere back in
service. Does anybody have any ideas? You can often find fairly cheap
stompboxes on ebay, pawn shops, etc, as well as some of the Alesis quality
multi effects boxes.
Thanks,
Mike
