Subject:Speakeasy and the CX-3
All,
I've used the Speakeasy with my CX-3 for a couple of months, and now with my BX-3 for a couple more, and I find that it has plenty of grind. As Steve has mentioned many times, the preamp likes to be driven hard, so make sure that the output setting on your patches is set fairly high; I use an output of 127 on all "clean" patches, and maybe drop to around 100 if I've added a dose of the BX-3's digital distortion. Play with the Gain pot if you have one, or put the Gain switch in the High position. If that doesn't do it for you, turn the Gain down and the Volume up. There are only four knobs to play with, so take a half hour and experiment.
Regards,
-BW
