Here's the simple version of my misreply-ME: what kind of bass
speaker in the 450?

Got it home and right on the side of the box it says 12" bass driver.
ME: hmmmm?
It sounds great in the low range and has just the right amount of
pump for the buck.
If I ever expand I'll get another one.
Check out just about any concert bass rig and you'll see 4 X 12s most
likely Hartke's but other cabs as well.
I hardly see a 15 anynmore unless it's used by some guy who has 2X15s
and an old 2x12 cab sitting on top powerd by a Fender or Peavey head.
Most of those guys drop off of the fruit trucks as they roll through
Dallas and haven't heard about new bass technology.
