Subject:Re: New Leslies vs. Old

I recently had to play an old C2 and a newer model Leslie with the
servo and styro bass rotor. The thing sucked BIG time. It took
forever for the treble horm to hit max velocity. In the meantime I
was ready to hit the chorale switch. I change speeds quite often.
I'm wondering of one can adjust the electronic timing of those ramp
up speeds.
The particle board made it look cheap. I know it's only the back but
to me that's the real business end of the Leslie anyway. I like to
occasionally see spinning rotors. Call me nuts but it probably has
something to do with my fascination for gadgets and hardware store
browsing.
I work next to a Pratt and Whitney warehouse that stores everything
for jet engines including the engine. I'm dying to go in there and
spend a couple of hours just looking at stuff. The best part would
be if I could have a guide that would tell me what each part is if I
have a question,
But, I digress. . .
