Subject:Testing a Carvin R600 bass head

I was wondering if anyone had questions/suggestions for things for me
to listen to this before writing a review of using the Carvin R600 in
an interesting clone-wheel configuration. I'm going to test it at a
long but low profile gig on Friday night.

The reason I'm using the Carvin is that my bass player just upgraded
his head, so I can. My usual Barbetta + Leslie 145 isn't going to
work as we don't have room for the Leslie and my Barbetta will be on
vocal monitor duty.

However based on testing there is interesting potential for the R600
as it is 2x175W (into 8ohm) includes pretty flexible EQ
(Lo/parametric-mid/Hi, then a 7 band graphic) and an active x-over
with inserts on the Lo/Hi outs.

So I'm planning on running:
V5->Picoverb->Speakeasy Classic->Carvin Preamp (for EQ)->X-over @
800Hz (might lower it a bit to compensate for no-lower rotor)

"Hi" will go straight to my porta-leslie.
"Low" will go into a small behringer mixer where I will mix in my
other sources (wurly, Chroma Polaris, Sample player) and then patch
back to the 2nd channel that will power a JBL D-120 (too bad I don't
have a tweeter on that cab...)

The beauty is that the carvin head will fit in my portaleslie cab and
patchwise everything will be quite clean.
