Subject:VK7 Distortion

Last evening, I was playing my VK7 in my home studio and noticed a
phasing (flanger) type sound when I turned up the distorion. I was
just using the VK's own Leslie sim and was playing through studio
monitors.

The phasing was more noticeable when the leslie speed was set to
fast. Anyone ever experience this and can anyone offer any tips
for "flange-free" distortion?
