Page is a hero of mine. He is the greatest when it comes to
playing organ and piano at the same time. I dont see how he does it!
he sets up with a grand piano and B3 at a 90 degree angle! I could
never play like that. Ive been practicing playing both organ and
piano at the same time, but I have to use an uppper/lower setup. I
cant play as well using a split, but imagining 2 keyboards at a 90
degree angle, thats got to take alot of practice! Also getting the
fingers to work 2 keyboards at the same time is only part of the
equation. Actually "thinking" like two keyboard players and playing
tasty licks and voicings on both takes ALOT of practice, and Page
has this down!
Page has been a big infulence on my style. Anyone not familiar
with Phish should check some out. Page is awesome.
Chris what kind of setup do you use? Do you also use piano and
organ sounds at the same time? Anyone else in the group play organ
and piano at the same time?
