Hi Scott -
I know how you feel! I just picked up a new Roland VK77 (I know, last
year's model) for a screamin' deal, and am learning all the ins and
outs this week too. I'm sure some on this board may not like various
aspects of the Roland, but it sure sounds great to me thru a 147,
and, like you, I like the feel, or "substantialness" of the board -
not like a little flyweight synth. Additionally, my impression these
days is that all the new clones are so good we're all looking for
reasons NOT to like them!
Anyway, my question to you: what was the flourescent posterboard mod
to your Leslie? Did you put something on/in the horn? Always
interested in jazzing up the stage presence of my rig (of course,
playing better would help too......:)!
